OCU Finishes Season Strong

GAINESVILLE, Ga. – Oklahoma City had four top-three finishes in the Women's Small Boat Initiative on Tuesday, including a gold.

Lucy Oney won the women's single in 8:35.349 and teammate Michelle Guzman placed third in 9:04.299.

Guzman and Alexis Fredrickson placed third in the women's pair in 8:28.599.

Oney, Guzman, Fredrickson and Amelia Castor took third in the women's four in 7:27.257.

"I'm really proud of how tough our women are," said OCU Head Coach Bryan Volpenhein. "They had a very hard weekend at Dad Vail and turned around and did it again on Tuesday. I asked a lot of them and they stepped up. We were a little disappointed with the 4x, but I think we learned a lot and are looking forward to next year!"

The event was the finale for OCU Rowing this season.
