OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City sends 20 athletes to Pittsburg, Kansas, on Saturday for the Pittsburg State Invitational.
 
OCU Notebook:
Previously: Oklahoma City had one automatic and two provisional qualifying marks at the University of Arkansas Invite. Demarion Dean made the automatic standard in the men's 600 meters at 1:18.98 with Alexander Daly getting the B standard at 1:20.49. Dean placed seventh and Daly was 11^th. Florencia Cabrera met the provisional standard in the women's 1000 meters, placing second in 2:57.33. Isaiah Smith placed eighth in the high jump, clearing six feet, 2.75 inches (1.9 meters).
 
Men's Athlete of the Week:  Demarion Dean of Oklahoma City was named Sooner Athletic Conference Digital Scoreboard Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week. Dean took part in the Arkansas Invite and claimed seventh place in a loaded 600-meter run field. His time of 1:18.98 set an NAIA "A" Standard and is now the fastest time in the NAIA this winter. Dean placed behind six NCAA Division I runners in the event.
 
Women's Athlete of the Week: Florencia Cabrera of OCU was named Sooner Athletic Conference women's track and field runner of the week. Cabrera took part in the Arkansas Invite and earned a second-place finish in the 1000-meter run. Her time of 2:57.33 is an NAIA "B" standard mark and is the fourth fastest time in the NAIA this winter.
 
Saturday's Men's Entries: Isaiah Smith, Riley Randall, Braydon Witthorne, Jack Reed, Ryan McLaughlin, Javier Medina, Hendrick Ramirez, Brendan Robeaux, Alexander Daly and Demarion Dean represent the Stars in five events at the Invitational.
 
For the Ladies: Representing the OCU women in nine events are Kenzi Readnour, Keira Readnour, Tabytha Roy, Mattie Adams, Erika Pena, Isabelle Spiller, Vanessa Perez, Isabella Gutierrez, Florencia Cabrera, and Emily Schneider.
