OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City sends eight athletes to compete in seven events at the Arkansas Twilight Meet at the University of Arkansas on Friday.
 
The Stars get started at 6 p.m.

Previously:  Erika Pena won the women's 1500 meters at the Sooner Invite on Saturday to lead a limited Oklahoma City showing at OU. Pena met the NAIA B standard in the event at 4:31.48 and Isabella Gutierrez finished third at 4:46.86. Pena already had a B standard in the event but eclipsed her earlier mark. The Stars had four other top-five finishes on the day. Alexandria Horn was fourth in the javelin at 26:11. For the men's team, Javier Medina was second in the 5000 meters at 17:10.11 and Jackson Fowler was third in the 1500 at 4:02.76. Isaiah Smith placed fifth in the high jump, clearing 1.92 meters.
 
Entrants: The Stars are sending Vanessa Perez, Isabella Gutierrez, Erika Pena and Isabelle Spiller from the women's team and Demarion Dean, Alexander Daly, Ayenew Devany and Isaiah Smith from the men's team.
 
Runner of the Week: For the third time this season, Erika Pena earned Sooner Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week. Pena took part in the Sooner Invitational and had a podium finish in the 1500-meter run. Pena finished first in the event with a time of 4:31.48, which is an NAIA "B" standard and a top 10 time in the nation this spring.
 
All-SAC Women: Six members of the Oklahoma City University women's track and field team earned All-Sooner Athletic Conference honors, the league announced on Wednesday. Isabella Gutierrez, Erika Pena, Kenzi Readnour and Isabelle Spiller were selected First-Team and Vanessa Perez and Keira Readnour were selected as Second-Team.
 
All-SAC Men: Oklahoma City had six members of its men's track and field team on the All-Sooner Athletic Conference team, the league announced on Wednesday. Alexander Daly, Demarion Dean, Ayenew Devany, Riley Randall and Isaiah Smith made first-team All-SAC. Jackson Fowler made second-team All-SAC.
