Dalton, GA.—The Oklahoma City University men's golf team wrapped up their Spring season with an appearance at the NAIA Men's Golf Championships. The tournament was held at the Dalton Country Club in the Peach State. Coach Blake Trimble's squad was one of three Sooner Athletic Conference representatives who participated in the event.
The Stars unfortunately did not make the cut after the first two rounds of play. In round one OCU posted a team score of 311 before dropping six strokes in round two while posting a score of 317. The score to make it into the advancing field of teams was 318, the Stars finished ten strokes behind the cut line.
Junior Michael Robson led the way for OCU with a score of 153 which put him at +9 for his two rounds of golf played. Tres Hill narrowly finished behind Robson with a +12, Hill shot a 76 in round one but dropped an 80 in round two.
Lorenzo Santinelli shot 15-over par, allowing him to finish with a total score of 159.
With the season concluding for the Stars, the men's golf team moves into the offseason after notching some impressive finishes throughout their Spring schedule– they finished in the Top-5 in six of their nine tournaments.
