OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University won its sixth tournament title of the 2021-22 season with a first-place finish at the Kyle Blaser Invitational, which concluded with 18 holes played on Tuesday at the par-72, 6,075 yard Gaillardia Country Club.

The No. 1 ranked Stars (297-290-311=898) finished 21 strokes ahead of second place Oklahoma Christian (919) and 25 strokes ahead of third place Texas Wesleyan (923).

The Stars had three top-five finishes with all five golfers finishing in the top-15.

Freshman
Maddi Kamas finished in first place (70-71-74=215) and freshman
Reagan Chaney (74-74-78=226) finished in third place. Kamas notched 12 birdies and Chaney four birdies for the tournament.

Senior
Natalie Gough tied for fifth place (80-71-78=229) and freshmen
Morgan Palermo (75-79-81=235) and
Paige Wood (78-74-83=235) tied for 13th place.

Rachel Eckert (77-79-76=232) finished in 10th place competing for the OCU B team, followed by senior
Lauren Behnken (79-82-83=244) tying for 21st place and freshman
Meghan Charles (82-79-89=250) finishing in 26th place.

OCU returns to action on April 11-12 at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic. That tournament will be held at Lincoln Park Golf Course.
