KANSAS CITY, Mo. –
Kipruto Cherutich and
Trey Cole from Oklahoma City University scooped up NAIA scholar-athlete acclaim for the second year in a row.
The NAIA included Cherutich and Cole among those men's track & field student-athletes from around the country honored for their academic accomplishments.
To earn the NAIA scholar-athlete award, league student-athletes who are juniors or above in academic standing with at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average, appear on the eligibility certificate for an NAIA-recognized sport and have attended two full years as a non-transfer or one full year as a transfer shall be eligible.
