GULF SHORES, Ala. – Oklahoma City University's Oscar Kipkoros, Max McNeill and Mark Shaw qualifies for the 5,000 meter final on Friday in the NAIA men's track & field outdoor championships at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium.
Kipkoros, a junior from Iten, Kenya, finished the race with the best time of 14 minutes and 57.66 seconds.
McNeill, a junior from Uphall Station, Scotland, ran a 15:15.02 coming in 14th place through the heat runs, while Shaw, a junior from Ormesby, Middlesbrough, England, had a time of 15:05.61 to qualify in sixth place.
The 5,000 meters championship race will be Saturday at 5:55 p.m. Moses Dirane will join Kipkoros in the 3,000 meter Steeplechase at 2:20 p.m. and Kyle McKinley and Isaac Roldan runs in the marathon beginning at 6 a.m.
