LAWRENCE, Kan. – Oklahoma City University's Mark Shaw collected fourth place in the 10,000 meters Thursday night in the Kansas Relays at Rock Chalk Park.
Shaw, a junior from Ormesby, Middlesbrough, England, ran the 10,000-meter race in a time of 31 minutes and 04.47 seconds. Shaw punches his ticket to the NAIA track and field outdoor championships with an "A" qualifying standard.
Oaklin Davis, a senior from Aledo, Texas, ran in the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:30.58, while Joseph Engel, a freshman from Oklahoma City finished the 1,500-meters in 4:14.75
Others competing for OCU were Isaac Roldan, Noah Seto, Ilijah Coleman, Logan Gwinn, Tyler Wade and Zander Rossiter. Roldan ran the 10,000 meters finishing the race in 32:53.86. The remaining runners competed in the 1,500-meter race Seto finished the race in 4:21.43, Coleman had a time of 4:25.90, while Gwinn posted a time of 4:28.35, Wade ran a time of 4:28.35 and Rossiter had a time of 4:37.83.
McNeill competes at Mt. SAC Relays
TORRANCE, Calif. – Max McNeill of the Oklahoma City University men's track and field team competed in the 10,000-meter run at the Mt. SAC Relays on Thursday at Murdock Stadium on the El Camino College campus.
McNeill, a junior from Uphall Station, Scotland, competed against numerous NCAA Division I athletes and finished 14th out of 25 runners.
McNeill completed the race in 30 minutes 49.49 seconds and hit the "A" qualifying standard.
The Stars will continue action at the Mt. SAC and Kansas Relays through the weekend.
