OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City attacked at a blistering .300 percentage and took a three-set win over Evangel in the Stars Invitational on Friday, 25-15, 25-11, 25-18.

Grace Smallwood had 16 kills and
Amber Jones tacked on nine to pace the OCU offense. Jones swung for a .400 percentage with Smallwood at .382.
Natalie Adams had 32 assists and led the team with three aces.

Heading the defensive charge were
Kate Cleofe and
Ryan Leland with 14 digs each and Smallwood with 11.

After never trailing in the first two sets, OCU was down briefly and early in the third but used a late 5-0 run to pull away.

The 2-0 Stars finish off the Stars Invitational on Saturday with two matches, hosting LSU-Shreveport at 11:30 a.m. and Texas A&M-Texarkana at 4:30 p.m.
