YPSILANTI, Mich. – Logan Allen stormed back into contention in the second round of the NAIA Women's Golf National Championship, moving up 95 spots on the leaderboard to 15^th.
 
Allen shot a two-under-par 70 on Thursday to make the cut after a first-round 83.
 
"Very proud of Logan's fight today," said OCU Head Coach Josh Gorzney. "Incredible Day 2 bounce back to put her in the top 15! She would not let today be her final round of her career. Showed that grit and resilience and never gave up today."
 
She birdied holes five, 10, 13, 15 and 16 on Thursday after going a combined four over par on those five holes on Wednesday. Her aggressiveness on all three par-five holes resulted in birdies.
 
Allen's tee time for Friday will be announced later Thursday evening.
