Friday, Aug. 8, marks an important waypoint for both the men's and women's soccer teams of Oklahoma City University. The Stars will play their first competitive scrimmage of the year to ramp up their prep for the 2025 season.

OCU will play the Rose State College Raiders in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Currently, the women are set to begin play at 11 a.m. with the men starting two hours later at 1 p.m..  

Coach Billy Martin is the head coach of both teams; he will be entering year six as the men's coach and year five leading the women's team. Last season, the men's team finished with a 14-2-4 record and advanced to the Round of 16 in the NAIA Tournament. The women recorded their third consecutive Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament semifinal appearance, ultimately finishing the 2024 season with a 10-7-1 record.

Thursday, Aug. 21, at 6  p.m. marks the starting point for the Stars' regular season and home opener at Brian Harvey Field—the women will face off against University of the Southwest (N.M.). The men's team will kick its season off against Midland University (Neb.) on the same day at 7:30 p.m.
