OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City Volleyball earned status as an American Volleyball Coaches Association Academic Team, the AVCA announced Monday.
 
To qualify, teams had to maintain a year-long 3.3 grade point average.
 
"I'm so proud of all we have accomplished in the classroom with past year," said OCU Head Coach Kristen Coventon. "This award is just as important as any award we receive throughout the year, and I am just so proud of them."

The Stars have earned the award in four of the last five seasons, including the last two seasons.
