OKLAHOMA CITY – The Sooner Athletic Conference on Monday selected Oklahoma City University's Brian Alexander as its men's basketball Player of the Week.
 
Alexander aided the Stars to a perfect 2-0 conference record last week by averaging 23.0 points over the span on 52.9 percent shooting from the field. In a win over Mid-America Christian, Alexander scored 29 points while handing out five assists in the contest. Alexander added eight rebounds and 12 total assists to his stat line for the week.
 
This is the first SAC award of the season for OCU men's basketball.
