OKLAHOMA CITY - For the second time this season Stars senior
Ruby Kelley has earned SAC Player of the Week status by being named the Sooner Athletic Conference Attacker of the Week.
Ruby Kelley began her week on Friday against Oklahoma Panhandle State where she came up one dig shy of a double-double after posting 15 kills on a .609 hitting percentage to go along with nine digs on Friday night. Kelley's 15 kills was her most in a three-set match all season long while also having three blocks and two aces.Â
Kelley continued her strong play on Saturday in the five set loss to Wayland Baptist where she held a team-high 22 kills which set a new a season-high for Kelley as she notched her seventh double-double of the season as she tallied 16 digs with two aces.Â
Across both matches, Kelley averaged 4.63 kills and 5.56 points per set to go along with a .500 hitting percentage.Â
This is the third time in Kelley's career that she has been named the conference Attacker of the Week.
