OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City women's golf team came away from its final tournament of the fall schedule with a second place spot in The Battle at Winter Creek.
Logan Allen missed the top position by just stroke after finishing six over par for the tournament, one stroke behind Makena Junkin from Texas Wesleyan. Allen had a strong showing throughout the tournament and saw her best score come in the second round at two under par.Â
Jamie Welsh followed right behind Allen in third place at eight over par while having the single best round of tournament out of any participant with a 68 in round two. Welsh finished at +8 after shooting +4 in round one and +8 in round two.Â
Aubrey House and
Beth Norton rounded out the top 10 for the Stars as House finished in sixth place at 13 over par while Norton came in ninth at +14.Â
Klaudie Karnikova put together her best tournament of the fall slate finishing 15 over par with her best round coming in the first 18 holes giving her an 11th place finish.Â
Paige Wood and
Meghan Charles rounded out the top 20 as the two finished in back-to-back spots with Wood coming in at 17th overall at +23 while Charles followed in 18th place at 24 over par.Â
Finally,
Carrie Bowers concluded the Stars lineup finishing 32nd overall at +52 for the tournament.Â
