MARION, Ind - Oklahoma City University will have eight athletes competing in the 2023 NAIA men's outdoor NAIA track and field championships, which begin Wednesday on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University.
At last year's NAIA championships, OCU took 15th in the team standings, while accumulating seven all-American accolades.
Brendan Robeaux, David Boulanger, Alexander Daly, Aiden Hoover, Fares Maarouf,
Milan Todorovic, and
Tate Smithhart all qualified for the Men's 4x800m relay event, and
Halen Biggs qualified for the Men's 10,000-meter race.
Todorovic qualified for the Men's 800-meter race. He will look to best his time of 1:51.76 posted at the Washburn Open in February.
The Stars' Todorovic claimed the 800-meter crown in the SAC championships with a time of 1:55.34. OCU's relay team of Smithhart, Maarouf, Robeaux, and Todorovic booked their spot to the NAIA championships with a 7-minute, 43:16 second place finish in the SAC Championships. Todorovic posted the third best time in the 800-meter race.
Their 4x800m relay team posted the 17th best time, and Biggs posted the 22nd-best time in his 10,000-meters race to qualify.
