MONKEY ISLAND, Okla. – Oklahoma City University stood in 13th overall against a challenging field after the first day of the Missouri Southern Invitational on Monday at Shangri-La Country Club.
Tres Hill,
Leandro Mihaich, and
Alex Bloxham all led OCU, ranked 11th in NAIA men's golf, and were tied for 35th at 8 over par.
Hill, sophomore from Elk City, Okla., had the sixth best overall round one, adding two eagles and two birdies on the back nine. Hill turned in a 79-73–152, while Bloxham shot a 73-79–152. Bloxham, a freshman from Broken Arrow, Okla., put together six birdies with four coming in the second round. Mihaich, a freshman from Cordoba, Argentina, had four birdies overall. Mihaich added a 79-73–152.

Bosten Benn had a scorecard of 78-88–166.
Will Fore carded an 86-81–167. Benn hit four birdies, and Fore added two.
Oklahoma City put together a 307-308–615 on the par-72, 6,876-yard course. Missouri-St. Louis, ranked 19th in NCAA Division II, held the team lead by three strokes over third-ranked Oklahoma Christian. Matt Jackman of St. Mary's (Texas) led the individual competition at 6 under (68-70–138).
The final round begins 8 a.m. Tuesday.
