OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University senior
Cross Factor has been named Sooner Athletic Conference Player of the Week after helping lead the Stars to a perfect 5-0 weekend against MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) and Bethany (Kan.).
Â
The hard-hitting center fielder hit safely in all five games, finishing 7-for-16 (.438 average) with three home runs, six RBIs and two stolen bases. He also scored six runs.
Â
Factor homered and finished with two RBIs in each game of a two-game series sweep over No. 22 ranked MidAmerica Nazarene. His home run in the bottom of the sixth inning of game two in the series finale provided the Stars an insurmountable 8-5 lead.
Â
In Sunday afternoon's finale against Bethany College, Factor's fifth home run of the season tied the score at 2-2 in the bottom of the third inning. After being intentionally walked in the bottom of the seventh of that game, he would advance to second base after a walk to Fred Walter. Factor then scored the game-winning run on a walk-off single by
Peyton Crispin.
