• Oklahoma City University makes the trip down I-35 for a men's basketball exhibition against the University of Oklahoma
• OCU faces Oklahoma for the first time since Dec. 23, 1983, when the Sooners defeated the Chiefs 70-54 at Frederickson Fieldhouse in Oklahoma City. Oklahoma leads the all-time series 8-4
• The Stars meet an NCAA Division I opponent for the first time since Nov. 10, 2014, when OCU fell to North Texas 106-100 in overtime in an exhibition in Denton, Texas. Jamil Donovan hit free throws to put the Stars ahead 86-77 with 2:40 remaining in regulation
ABOUT THE STARS
• Kori Guest, a 6-foot-6 senior from Tulsa, Okla., supplied OCU with 13.0 points and 4.6 rebounds per game while shooting 34.5 percent from 3-point range last season. Guest became a two-time honorable-mention all-Sooner Athletic Conference choice
• Dravon Clayborn, a 6-2 senior from Evanston, Ill., posted 9.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game in 2021-22
• The Stars came in seventh in the preseason SAC coaches poll. OCU owns 13 SAC regular-season championships and 10 SAC Tournament titles. Oklahoma City has advanced to the NAIA Division I Championship Tournament 25 times all-time and has won six national championships in 1991, 1992, 1994, 1996, 2007 and 2008
ABOUT THE SOONERS
• Oklahoma finished 19-16 in its first season under head coach Porter Moser last season
• Tanner Groves, a 6-10 senior, averaged 11.6 points a game last season. Groves made the preseason all-Big 12 team as an honorable-mention selection
• OU took the seventh spot in the preseason Big 12 Conference poll with 32 points. Baylor is the preseason favorite to win the Big 12
MEET THE COACHES
Mark Berokoff (17-14, second season with OCU)
• Mark Berokoff directed Oklahoma City to a 17-14 record in his first season as the Stars' head coach. The Stars collected the No. 3 seed in the SAC Tournament and earned their most conference wins since 2009-10 with a 15-7 mark
• Berokoff directed Randall to three national championships and a national runner-up showing in nine years as head coach of the Saints. Berokoff led Randall to a 147-122 mark. Randall annually squared off with SAC teams and knocked off OCU twice in that span. His college head-coaching record stood at 164-136 in 10 years before the season
• Berokoff produced five national player of the year honorees, 16 all-Americans, three national tournament outstanding player award winners and one scholar all-American with Randall. Berkoff became two-time national coach of the year
• Berokoff's coaching career spans the high school, college and professional levels. His combined head-coaching record over 20 years in the college and prep ranks was 389-213 entering the 2022-23 season
Porter Moser (19-16, second season with Oklahoma)
• Porter Moser became the 15th head coach in Oklahoma history April 3, 2021
• Moser came to OU after a 10-year stint at Loyola University Chicago, which went 188-141 during that time. Over the previous four seasons, Loyola took three Missouri Valley Conference regular-season titles, two NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 appearances and a trip to the 2018 Final Four
• Moser holds an overall head-coaching mark of 312-258 in 18 years

• Oklahoma City University athletics provides live and on-demand audio, stats and video of its contests on OCU's BlueFrame platform. OCU will offer a live audio stream of the game
• Andrew Himes will offer commentary. Himes enters his 12th season as the voice of the Stars and has been broadcasting OCU basketball for 15 years starting on color commentary as an OCU student
