OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University's Dalton Daniel snatched up his second Sooner Athletic Conference men's golf player of the week award in a row.

Oklahoma City took its third consecutive SAC men's golfer of the week honor for the first time since 2018-19.

Daniel came in tied for first place after three rounds of the Texas Intercollegiate on Sept. 13-14 in Wentworth Village, Texas. Daniel shot a 72-70-67–209 to go to a playoff with Texas Christian's Aymeric Laussot, who won the playoff after four holes. Daniel erased a four-stroke deficit through 36 holes. He made six birdies Tuesday, giving him 14 in the tournament at the par-72, 6,898-yard Hawks Creek Golf Club.

Daniel led Oklahoma City, ranked seventh nationally according to the Golf Coaches Association of America, to the win in its third tournament in a row against a field that included fifth-ranked Texas Wesleyan. The Stars last won three consecutive starts while collecting four tournament wins in a row during the 2018-19 season.

On the season, Daniel has carded a 68.89 scoring average through nine rounds with three top-three showings.
