OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University's
Josie Knox secured her first career Sooner Athletic Conference women's soccer defensive player of the week accolade.
Knox, a senior from Edmond, Okla., turned in her fourth career shutout with Oklahoma City as the Stars came away with a 2-0 victory at Bethany (Okla.) on Saturday.
Knox recorded five saves to keep her clean sheet intact for her second most in a single match and the most in a shutout during her two-year OCU career. Last season, Knox turned in a 1.92 goals-allowed average and made 39 saves for a .684 save percentage.
