Six OCU golfers take academic honors from SAC

Meyers becomes two-time academic all-SAC golfer

OKLAHOMA CITY – David Meyers highlighted Oklahoma City University's league-high six academic all-Sooner Athletic Conference men's golfers as a two-time academic all-conference honoree.

The Stars' Caleb Allen, Bosten Benn, Mason Mikeska, Robbie Sager and Ben Thionnet also took academic recognition from the league.

OCU tied with Wayland Baptist for the most academic all-SAC men's golfers for 2020-21. To earn academic all-SAC acclaim, student-athletes must have posted a minimum 3.25 grade-point average during the previous two semesters and be regular letter winners on her team.

Oklahoma City reaches excellence both in competition and in the classroom. The Stars posted their best combined GPA of the past decade (3.332) in 2020-21. Oklahoma City extended its string of winning at least one national title to 28 years dating back to 1993-94 after taking the 2021 NAIA competitive cheerleading championship. OCU has won 70 national titles in all sports with three Directors' Cup titles (2016-17, '17-18 and '18-19).
