Three Stars make academic all-district

CoSIDA lauds Banks, Lamer and Webb

AUSTIN, Texas – Oklahoma City University's Abigail Banks, Madison Lamer and Bailey Webb collected CoSIDA women's soccer academic all-district accolades.
The NAIA District 4 squad as chosen by the College Sports Information Directors of America included Banks, Lamer and Webb.
Banks, a junior from Sand Springs, Okla., earned her degree in philosophy, political science and economics while putting together a 3.45 cumulative grade-point average. She has been accepted into the OCU school of law and was elected Student Government Association president. Banks took academic all-Sooner Athletic Conference and two league commissioner's honor roll nods. Banks posted nine saves and two shutouts for the Stars.
Lamer, a senior from Edmond, Okla., turned in a 3.69 cumulative GPA studying exercise science. Lamer picked up two goals, four assists and eight points while starting all 31 matches she played for Oklahoma City. Lamer scored the golden goal vs. Texas A&M-Texarkana on Sept. 14, 2019 at Brian Harvey Field. She nabbed NAIA scholar-athlete, SAC scholar-athlete, academic all-conference and conference commissioner's honor roll.
Webb, a senior from Oklahoma City, boasted of a 3.79 cumulative GPA working towards her psychology degree. Webb provided the Stars with four goals, an assist, nine points and the winning goal vs. Houston-Victoria on March 9 in 2020-21. Webb's career numbers were 12 goals, six assists, 30 points and three winning goals in 58 starts. Webb reeled in NAIA scholar-athlete and league scholar-athlete and became a two-time academic all-SAC honoree and three-time SAC commissioner's honor roll recipient.
CoSIDA honors the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Academic all-district selections gain consideration for academic all-American accolades.
To be eligible for academic all-America® consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director. 
Since the program's inception in 1952, the College Sports Information Directors of America has bestowed academic all-America honors on more than 20,000 student-athletes in Divisions I, II, III and NAIA, covering all NCAA championship sports.
