OCU's Mitrovic grabs academic all-district

AUSTIN, Texas – Aleksa Mitrovic of Oklahoma City University took CoSIDA men's soccer academic all-district acclaim.
Mitrovic, a senior from Belgrade, Serbia, made the NAIA District 4 team as recognized by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Mitrovic has a 3.64 cumulative grade-point average majoring in accounting and finance. Mitrovic garnered NAIA scholar-athlete, Sooner Athletic Conference scholar-athlete, academic all-conference and SAC commissioner's honor roll. In his OCU career, Mitrovic made 23 starts as a defender while notching two assists and two points.
CoSIDA honors the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Academic all-district selections gain consideration for academic all-American accolades.
To be eligible for academic all-America® consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director. 
Since the program's inception in 1952, the College Sports Information Directors of America has bestowed academic all-America honors on more than 20,000 student-athletes in Divisions I, II, III and NAIA, covering all NCAA championship sports.
