SAC recognizes Talbi of OCU

Talbi sets SAC Championships record

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sooner Athletic Conference men's cross country runner of the week honors went to the league individual champion Zouhair Talbi of Oklahoma City University.
Talbi grabbed the conference individual championship in record-setting fashion. Talbi won the conference title with a mark of 24 minutes, 21.7 seconds.
Talbi surpassed the Stars' Oscar Kipkoros' meet-record time of 24:47.2 run in the 2019 SAC Championships at Woodson Park. Talbi averaged 4:54.1 per mile. Talbi headlined nine all-SAC performers from OCU. Fifth-ranked Oklahoma City took its fourth SAC title in a row. The Stars seek their third consecutive national championship in the national meet April 9 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
