OCU leads league in SAC scholar-athlete nods

10 Stars nab academic recognition from conference

OKLAHOMA CITY – Seth Jones of Oklahoma City University hauled in his second Sooner Athletic Conference scholar-athlete accolade.
The Stars boasted of a conference-high 10 recipients of SAC scholar-athlete acclaim. Those honored by the league for their classroom work were Noah Barks, Peyton Crispin, Chris Bennefield, Caleb Evans, Joseph Garza, Garrett Horton, Bryson Lierle, Fredric Walter and Tyler Williams.
Those student-athletes who are juniors or above in academic standing with at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average, appear on the eligibility certificate for an NAIA-recognized sport and have attended two full years as a non-transfer or one full year as a transfer shall be eligible for the SAC scholar-athlete accolade.
