OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University has signed prep golfers Tres Hill and Dylan Teeter to letters of intent.
Hill, a senior from Elk City, Okla., and Teeter, a senior from Bixby, Okla., have posted top-15 finishes in the boys golf state tournament.
As a sophomore, Hill produced a tie for fifth place in the Class 4A state tournament for Elk City. Hill carded a 78-73-75–226 at Dornick Hills Golf & Country Club in Ardmore, Okla. Hill's 32-30–62 set the tournament record for a round at Earlywine Park Golf Course, where he won the Earlywine Park Fall Classic on the Oklahoma Junior Golf Tour in record-setting fashion in September. He holds the 34th spot in the Junior Golf Scoreboard national rankings.
"I believe Tres will make an impact right away," OCU coach Andy Crabtree said. "He has the firepower to shoot low numbers, and we are thrilled to have Tres join our team at OCU."
Teeter finished 15th in the Class 6A state tournament as a sophomore. Teeter provided Bixby with a 75-74-77–226 at Rose Creek Golf Club in Edmond, Okla. Teeter picked up the win in the OJGT's Battle for Broken Arrow in September. Teeter shot 69-64–133 at The Club at Indian Springs in Broken Arrow, Okla.
Oklahoma City has taken 11 men's golf national championships in 2001, '02, '03, '04, '06, '07, '10, '12, '13, '16 and '18.
